Log to the Triniti portal with valid username/password .
Select "Invoice To Client" application configured for any Role.
Select any state(Here Manager) which contains at least one instance as shown below.

Check any one of the instances in that state, and Click on convert Button.

Click on "Inactive View" Button to check whether the Instance is converted to Inactive state.

This is called cancelling a Workflow instance .
If you want to make that instance back to Active state Check that InActive Instance and click on Convert button.
Now Click on Active View button.The instance will be reappeared as shown below.
